Jae Young Choi is Post-doctoral Researcher in the Computational Breast Imaging Group at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He has experience in pattern recognition, image processing, machine learning, and computer vision. Especially, he has developed several pioneering algorithms for automatic face recognition using facial color information. He has also performed several projects for the purpose of developing Computer-aided Detection and Diagnosis system in mammography including development of breast mass detection, feature extraction solutions, ensemble classification.

Research Interests:

To develop and analayze clinically applicable image-derived biomarkers from radiological and pathological images in order to improve assessment of cancer-risk and response-to-treatment at the individual patient-level.

  • Effective Utilization of Breast Tomosynthesis using Imaging Markers to Guide Personalized Screening
  • Effect of Breast Density on Screening Recall with Digital Breast Tomosynthesis
