The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the
first established department of its kind in the
country, enjoys a long-standing reputation of
general physical medicine and rehabilitation as
well as in several rehabilitation specialties.
The rehabilitation specialties include musculoskeletal
disorders, neurological disorders, aging, trauma,
occupational disease and industrial rehabilitation.
The full-time staff of board-certified physiatrist
is supported by a team of occupational, physical
and speech therapists; neuropsychologists, nurse
specialists, social workers and vocational counselors.
The facilities and equipment are modern and diverse.
A continuum of care extends from outpatient and
inpatient to home care.
