Research

The Department is well-funded for research in rehabilitation medicine. This support includes a research training program which is shared with Moss Rehabilitation Hospital, and which admits four trainees per year. This grant was recently renewed for a five-year period. In addition, the Department is generously funded by the Department of Defense for studies of musculoskeletal disorders in the Persian Gulf Syndrome. Other research projects are interdepartmental and interdisciplinary in nature enabling enrichment of the programs in rehabilitation medicine by scientific pursuits in other departments.
