Welcome to the Renal, Electrolyte and Hypertension Division
at the University of Pennsylvania

The principal objectives of the University of Pennsylvania Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension Division are to provide outstanding patient care, perform state-of-the-art research with a goal towards understanding renal diseases and developing new therapies for our patients, and to furnish an intensive and highly structured clinical and research experience for physicians in training, so that they may develop the skills necessary to become excellent clinicians and scientists.  We are a leading regional referral center for all types of kidney diseases and renal transplantation, provide hospital consultation for patients with complex medical conditions, and ambulatory care services for patients with a wide variety of renal disorders, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage renal failure.
