Jackie is originally from Michigan and moved to Pennsylvania shortly after finishing her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan. From 2007 to 2011 Jackie worked as a staff nurse on various critical care units at Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. While completing her Master’s Degree at Penn, she developed an interested in the care of post-cardiothoracic surgery patients. In January 2011, Jackie began working as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the Heart and Vascular Intensive Care Unit. Specific interests include the care of patients with ventricular assist devices and heart transplants. Outside of work Jackie volunteers for the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. She enjoys photography, travel, outdoor activities, and playing with her Siberian husky.
