Melanie is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Tertiary/Acute care Nurse Practitioner Program in 1995. She is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Surgery – Cardiothoracic Surgery. She has practiced in a variety of critical care settings throughout her nursing career including Surgical Intensive Care, Interventional and Medical Cardiology as well as Electrophysiology. She has received the Nurse Practice Award, by the Pennsylvania Nursing Association.
Melanie’s future interests include research/development of preoperative education for both patients and their family’s as well as the management of the cardiothoracic surgery candidate.
