Dr. Geng completed his surgical training at St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network in Bethlehem, PA in 2004.  After 3 years in practice as a general surgeon, he trained at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. Since completing his fellowship, he returned to Reading Hospital in the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care, where he currently is Associate Trauma Program Medical Director. 

Dr. Geng is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He has a keen interest in technology and it’s integration into patient care.  His projects include assisting with implementation of a completely integrated EMR.  He has also shown great interest in surgical education.
