Dr. O ’Connell received his medical degree from Hahnemann medical
college. He completed his internship and residency in surgery at Hahnemann Hospital, followed by a residency in urologic surgery at
the University of Pennsylvania School of medicine and a fellowship
in urologic oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson cancer
center. Dr. O’Connell is board-certifi ed in urology and is a fellow of
the American college of Surgeons and a member of the American
Society of clinical oncology, the Society of Urologic oncology, and
the Society of laparoscopic Surgeons. In addition, he participates as a clinicalinvestigator in National cancer Institute sponsored clinical research trials.
Dr. O’Connell is an exceptional urologist with over 40 years of experience. His clinical areas of expertise include urologic cancers and general urology, including kidney stones, voiding dysfunction and urinary tract infections. His research interests include HPV infection, as well as bladder and prostate cancers. |
