Dr. Bartoli is a PGY2 in the Direct Cardiac Surgery program. His interests are surgical management of heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, angiogenesis, and von Willebrand factor biology.

Currently, at the University of Pennsylvania, he is overseeing projects that examine blood trauma with LVADs and the relationship between von Willebrand factor degradation and gastrointestinal angiodysplasia and bleeding.

Dr. Bartoli will specialize in mechanical circulatory support and remain in academic cardiac surgery.

penn medicine
