Dr. Avery Miller completed her undergraduate education at Cornell University, where she received her B.A. in Biochemistry in 2009. She then earned her medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2013. Dr. Miller is currently in her fourth post-graduate year of training as a General Surgery resident and is working in the laboratory of Dr. Alan Flake investigating an extracorporeal support system for the premature infant. She plans to pursue a career in academic pediatric surgery after completing her residency.
