Resident Interaction Policy
- Residents in the Colon and Rectal Training Program are responsible for assisting the faculty in teaching of the general surgery residents as well as visiting or rotating residents, medical students, and residents from other departments.
- Responsibilities include overseeing and organizing clinical activities of the general surgery residents during their time on the Colon & Rectal Surgery rotation. This includes interaction in the operating room, office, and on the wards.
- The surgical faculty will work to ensure that both the colon and rectal surgery and residents from other departments/divisions will both have ample opportunities for meaningful educational experience.
- Monitoring of compliance of this policy is the responsibility of the Colon & Rectal Surgery Residency Program Director and the program director(s) of the respective residency programs.
