Integrated Vascular Surgery Training Program

Transfer Policy

A resident can be accepted from an approved ACGME program. The Program Director must verify the accreditation status of the program before accepting the resident. A resident can be accepted at each PGY level and must spend the final two years in the Program before graduating.

The Program Director must obtain from the other program:

  1. Written or electronic verification of previous educational experiences of the transferring resident.
  2. Summative competency-based performance evaluation of the transferring resident.
  3. Statement of no evidence of unethical or unprofessional behavior or any serious clinical competence

The Program Director must verify that the information received is accurate. If the resident is leaving the program, the Program Director must similarly provide timely verification of residency education and summative competency-based performance evaluation of the leaving resident.
