Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy Training Program

Fellow and Housestaff Policy

The goal of the Vascular Residency program is to train academic vascular surgeons who will be adept in all aspects of conventional vascular surgery as well as endovascular approaches. It is our goal to train vascular residents who will contribute and excel academically, as well as clinically. The vascular residents will participate in the supervision of general surgery residents in terms of daily patient care, management decisions, technical procedures, and order-writing. It is expected that the vascular residents will serve as a mentor for the general surgery residents. It is expected that the vascular residents will assist with consultation, trauma, as well as housestaff education. It is expected that the vascular residents and general surgery residents will function in a collegial manner with mutual dependence, trust, and cooperation, which includes the sharing of information and experience.
