The administrative structure within the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery is as follows: Dr. Robert D. Fry serves as the Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery and Chairman, Pennsylvania Hospital and Dr. Brain R. Kann is the Program Director of the Colon and Rectal Surgery Residency. In collaboration with the Colon and Rectal Surgery faculty, Dr. Najjia N. Mahmoud and Dr. Joshua I. S. Bleier, educational policies and guidelines are established for the colon and rectal residency program. Dr. Edward Woo reports on the activities of the vascular resident(s) to Dr. Jon B. Morris, Vice Chairman of Education and Dr. Jeffrey A. Drebin, Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Mark Malachesky, Director of Surgical Education Administration, manages the daily operations of the Division of Surgical Education (DSE) and Lauren Reeve, Fellowship Coordinator, has administrative responsibility for the colon and rectal surgery housestaff.
