FLS is a comprehensive education module that combines a hands-on skills training component and assessment tool in which participants learn the physiology, fundamental principles, and technical skills required in basic laparoscopic surgery. Penn Medical Clinical Simualtion Center (PMCSC) offers the FLS as a 2-day course every 6 months (March & November) for senior surgery residents, as well as surgical faculty members.
