PBL’s are small group Problem Based Learning sessions that are included in your Friday didactic schedule. There are 13 PBL sessions. (Six taught by faculty and seven taught by teaching residents)
Students will be divided into two groups for the Faculty PBL’s and into three groups for the Teaching Resident PBL’s. You must come prepared for these sessions. 15% of your Clerkship grade depends upon your preparation and participation. If you are shy, you will have to speak up if you expect to do well. If you must miss one for any reason, you should turn in the answers to the questions to your teaching resident prior to the session with a very good alibi for why you are missing. Teaching resident PBLs are a part of your grade. Faculty PBLs are not, although you are responsible for the material. Attendance is required. |
