  • Dr. Noel Williams, Professor of Surgery, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Williams was instrumental in the development of the simulation center in 2008, and with regard to ACS Accreditation status. He has led the simulation program at Penn Surgery since 2006.
  • Simulation Center Staff, i.e. Gretchen Kolb – Operations Director,
    Gregory Motuk – Simulation Educator, and Josef Luba – Simulation Technician.
  • Simulation Center Facilities – 22,000 square foot, with standardized patient rooms, simulated ORs, simulated ED and labor rooms, simulated in-patient rooms, surgical skills training laboratory, two conference rooms, debriefing and breakout rooms, integrated audio-visual capability throughout the center, with direct links to ORs at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
  • Simulation Devices and Trainers – synthetic surgical skills trainers; virtual reality simulators for laparoscopy, endoscopy, robotic surgery and endovascular interventions; whole patient simulators; ultrasound trainers.
