The Advanced Trauma Operative Management course, brought to Penn by John Pryor, MD, provides the participant with an interactive learning experience. The ATOM course provides the student with a CD ROM, textbook and manual, didactic lecture presentations, and a one-on-one, hands-on animal-based surgical experience with significant penetrating trauma.

The American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity with 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.TM

A superior faculty from the Trauma Center @ Penn and its affiliates directs and instructs all aspects of the Penn ATOM course. Penn Trauma was the first ATOM Course site to also include the staff from HUP’s PeriOperative Department to assist as adjunct faculty.
