Building on its core training program for training professionals in basic critical care skills, SCCM has designed a one-day course to equip professionals with the expertise to manage large-scale disasters. At Penn, your disaster management knowledge is applied in a variety of scenarios.
FDM participants will receive a copy of Fundamentals of Disaster Management, an all-hazards guide that serves as the backbone to medical response to disasters. Packed with easy-to-read flowcharts, tables, and informational graphics, this publication follows an all-hazards approach to disaster management that was developed by a consortium of academic, state, and federal centers under federal appropriation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
