Penn Trauma and Critical Care Conferences
The Division of Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care sponsors Penn Trauma and Critical Care Conferences each year. These conferences combine Trauma scientific and academic study with information pertinent to all clinicians and professionals interested and involved in the care of the trauma patient.
A Conference of Trauma, Acute & Critical Care Education
The PennTRAC Conference was the dream of John P. Pryor, MD, Trauma Program Director for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. After completing his Fellowship in Trauma Surgery and Critical Care, JP joined the faculty of the Department of Surgery. With a passion for the care of the Trauma patient and the education of those caring for them, JP wanted to run a special week long conference offering Trauma and Critical Care courses and programs, allowing clinicians and other professionals the opportunity to learn, teach and network in a single week. John, a visionary surgeon, colleague, mentor and educator, died while caring for wounded soldiers in Iraq in 2008.
Trauma and Critical Care Conference
Held in the Fall of each year. We cover a variety of Trauma and Critical Care topics.
