• The John P. Pryor Memorial PennTRAC Conference: A mid-week conference and luncheon lecture with distinguished speakers and educators:
  • The PennTRAC Conference was the dream of John P. Pryor, MD, Trauma Program Director for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. After completing his Fellowship in Trauma Surgery and Critical Care, JP joined the faculty of the Department of Surgery. With a passion for the care of the Trauma patient and the education of those caring for them, JP wanted to run a special weeklong conference offering Trauma and Critical Care courses and programs, allowing clinicians and other professionals the opportunity to learn, teach and network in a single week. John, a visionary surgeon, colleague, mentor and educator, died while caring for wounded soldiers in Iraq in 2008.
  • The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the oldest professional medical organization in the United States will host our PennTRAC Conference. The College was founded in 1787 by twenty-four physicians of eighteenth-century Philadelphia who gathered "to advance the science of medicine and to thereby lessen human misery."
