The Trauma Center @ Penn and the Department of Emergency Medicine jointly developed this course adopting the basic format and didactic structure of the ACS course.
The Penn Trauma and Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Course was designed to provide the practicing physician and resident with a basic core module of education and training in clinically focused ultrasound imaging as a prerequisite for applied management of specific clinical problems.
The U/S Curriculum consists of:
Introduction to the educational program
Ultrasound Physics
Instrumentation and scanning technique
Clinical applications
Live model laboratory
