Dr. Raper’s research interests include a variety of legal topics, due in large part to his enrollment in Penn Law as a part-time law student.
Disclosure of adverse outcomes: He has completed a pilot project in which faculty members interact with a standardized patient while disclosing an adverse outcome. This is likely to be expanded into a course for select faculty members.
He is engaged in pro bono work in the following areas:
- Developing an informational piece for physicians on informed consent;
- Consulting on an informational document on the litigation process for physicians;
- Updating a legal reference guide.
Lastly he is engaged in the production of scholarly works regarding the limits of individual autonomy and health-care decision-making in an international context. |
