Cancer Genomics

In collaboration with Dr. Anil Vachani in pulmonary medicine, we are working towards developing a novel approach to personalized medicine for non-small cell lung cancer. Drawing upon a large array of tissues and samples dating back over a decade, we are studying the possibility of individualizing therapy based on a patients tumor molecular markers, histology and serum biomarkers.

• Gene expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells for diagnosis of recurrent and early stage disease
• Evaluation of inherited and acquired mutations to predict the long term outcome of patients with lung cancer
• Whole genome scanning for gene discovery
