Axillary Lymph

Axillary Lymph Node Dissection involves the removal of the majority of lymph nodes from under the arm (axilla). This is often performed for tumors of the breast or melanoma. Surgery is performed on the same side of the body as the original tumor. This procedure requires an overnight stay in the hospital.
