Penn’s Comprehensive Lower Extremity Reconstruction program combines traditional foot and ankle surgery with plastic surgery in order to preserve full function and aesthetics of the limb.  Because the bones, tendons and ligaments of the feet and ankles support the weight of the entire body, it is vital that these parts be properly aligned during reconstructive surgery.  Penn’s Comprehensive Lower Extremity Reconstructive program is the only program in the region to combine plastic surgery with state-of-the-art surgical treatments for all foot and ankle disorders.

Penn Medicine is thrilled to welcome Albert D’Angelantonio III, DPM, AACFAS to the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. D’Angelantonio has a combined background in Podiatric Surgery and Plastic Surgery and will lead the Comprehensive Lower Extremity Reconstruction program.
