Denise has been in the nursing field for 14 years. She began her career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a staff nurse on a trauma/orthopedic floor. After three years, she was transferred to the Surgical Intensive Care unit where she cared for critically ill trauma and general surgery patients as a staff nurse. Denise has been working as a nurse practitioner for the Surgical Critical Care Service at HUP since September 2002. She completed the ATCN certification process on June 14, 2003. Denise is a member of the following national professional organizations: Society of Critical Care Medicine, Society of Trauma Nurses, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau.
