Dr. David N. Anderson is a board-certified and fellowship trained breast surgical oncologist whose practice is dedicated to the treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases.  He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and sees patients at the Rena Rowan Breast Center in the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.  He performs all aspects of breast surgery, including breast conservation (lumpectomy), mastectomy, nipple-sparing mastectomy, and axillary lymph node procedures.  He works closely with radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and plastic surgeons to deliver the highest-quality breast care.

Dr. Anderson received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency in General Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.  During residency, he completed a research fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  He then went on to finish a clinical fellowship in breast surgical oncology also at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he developed expertise in all aspects of breast surgery.

He is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, and American College of Surgeons.
