Irwin S. Goldstein, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Urology in Surgery, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He practices at both the Penn Urology offices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and in the Penn offices in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Goldstein is director of the inpatient urology consultation service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. 

Dr.  Goldstein received a Doctor of Medicine degree from Thomas Jefferson University and a Bachelor of Arts from LaSalle College, both in Philadelphia, PA.  He is board certified by the American Board of Urology. 

Dr. Goldstein has been a practicing urologist for over 30 years, practicing in both private urologic practice and more recently in an academic university setting.  He specializes in lower urinary tract and pelvic floor dysfunction and male sexual medicine.  He completed his urology residency in the Division of Urology, at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and a fellowship in Renal Transplantation at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.   Dr. Goldstein has served as principal investigator on investigative drug research studies on the treatment of interstitial cystitis and lower urinary tract symptoms in men.
