Dr. Grace Wang is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her general surgical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. She also completed a Vascular and Endovascular fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical interests include aortic surgery, carotid endarterectomy and carotid stenting, endovascular therapies for peripheral vascular disease and limb salvage, including laser atherectomy, endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, dialysis access, and renal and visceral occlusive/aneurysmal disease.
Her research interests include predictors of and mechanisms behind paraplegia following thoracoabdominal aortic surgery and thoracic aortic stent grafting. She is also the Director of Vascular and Endovascular Simulation and is interested in studying and incorporating simulation in the training of residents and fellows. Her translational interests are focused on femoral artery intima-media thickness and its potential role as a surrogate marker for atherosclerosis.
