Raju is a categorical urology resident, currently completing his first year with the general surgery department. He is interested in urologic oncology and aims to enter academic urology. Before coming to the University of Pennsylvania, as a medical student he was enrolled in the Medical Student Research Program at SUNY Upstate Medical University, before taking two years off and spending the majority of his fourth year of medical school at the National Cancer Institute of the NIH as a funded researcher investigating metabolic dysregulation in prostate cancer, novel combination therapies in bladder cancer, and the role multiparametric MRI-fusion guided biopsy in the management of prostate cancer.
