2008 - 2012 BS - Duke University

2013 – 2017
Stanford University
Research Fellow, Y. Joseph Woo, MD
Investigated angiogenesis in a large animal model of myocardial infarction (MI). Investigated a novel biological nutrient delivery system for cardiomyocyte recovery following MI. Investigated a novel combinatorial therapeutic for cardiomyocyte regeneration and angiogenesis following MI. Analyzed factors that contribute to health outcomes following cardiac surgery in the State of California.
2013 – 2017
Stanford University
Research Fellow, Richard Mainwaring, MD
Investigated institutional surgical outcomes for different congenital cardiac lesions, most notably truncus arteriosus and PA/VSD/MAPCAs. Analyzed the interplay between physiology, anatomy, and surgical approach to provide a better understanding of disease pathophysiology and appropriate treatment.
2012 – 2013
Boston Clinical Research Institute
Research Assistant, C. Michael Gibson, MD
Served as Assistant Editor-In-Chief of, the world’s largest open source medical textbook (over 150 million views/year). Area of editorial review was congenital cardiac arrhythmias. Constructed a novel educational tool for Google to make medical terms more accessible to patients.
Duke University
Research Assistant, Geoffrey Pitt, MD
Investigated novel genetic predictors of sudden cardiac death. Identified novel mutations associated with long QT syndrome.
