Jacqueline Soegaard is a first-year categorical resident in General Surgery. After growing up in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she graduated with her Science Bachelor in Biological Engineering from MIT in 2012, and received her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. While in medical school, her year spent working as Clinical Informatics Intern for the University of Pennsylvania Health System involved implementing postoperative telehealth processes as well as mobile handoff applications. She plans to pursue a career in academic general surgery and is also interested in the intersection of surgical care delivery with information technology and healthcare administration.
