Clinical Interests
Dr. Woo is the Program Director for Vascular Surgery and the Director of the Vascular Lab and has an interest in all areas of vascular surgery. He has a particular interest in aneurysmal disease as well as carotid disease. Dr. Woo is also strongly involved in endovascular techniques that provide minimally invasive treatments for vascular diseases. Examples of these techniques include angioplasty and stenting of the renal arteries,carotid arteries, and lower extremities. Furthermore, he has a strong interest in aortic stent grafting of both the abdominal and thoracic aorta. Dr Woo also performs all traditional open vascular cases that cannot be treated by minimally invasive approaches, such as carotid endarterectomy, open aneurysm repair and lower extremity bypass. Dr. Woo has also participated in and led major clinical trials in the vascular surgery field. Some of these include aortic stent graft trials and carotid stent trials.
