Dr. Fry is the Emilie & Roland deHellebranth Professor of Surgery and Chairman, Department of Surgery, Pennsylvania Hospital and is the Division Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery, UPHS. He has served as President of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and President of the Colon and Rectal Surgery Program Directors Association. He is a director of the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and is a former director of the American Board of Surgery. He belongs to numerous professional societies including the American College of Surgeons, the American Surgical Association, the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
