The Office of Life
Support Education is a department within the Division
of Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care. It was established
in 1993 to verify and recertify approximately 800 Health System
personnel in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced
Trauma Life Support (ATLS) as mandated by various regulatory
agencies.
In 1997, the Office of Life Support Education was established
as an American Heart Association Community Training Center,
continuing to conduct ACLS Provider and Refresher courses not
only for the Health System but the community at large. |
