Dr. Michael Sims is the medical director of the Airways Biology initiative with extensive experience in pulmonary research. He has directed the clinical research of the Airways Biology Initiative for the past four years and is an Instructor in the Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care division of the University of Pennsylvania. He also maintains an active outpatient clinical practice as an integral member of both the Comprehensive Asthma Program and the Emphysema Program at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. In addition, Dr Sims has his master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. In 2006, Dr. Sims was awarded the University’s prestigious Dyson Fellowship for excellence in pulmonary research.
