E. Arnold, M.D., Director
|
Dr.
Arnold is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University
of Pennsylvania. After receiving his M.D. from Boston University, he completed
residency training in Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institiute
/ Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and Neurology at the
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He also completed
fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology / Cognitive Neuroscience and
was a post-doctoral associate in Neuroanatomy in Iowa. Dr. Arnold is board
certified in both Psychiatry and Neurology. He is the Director
of the Cellular and Molecular Neuropathology Program, Director of
the Clinical Neuroscience Track in the School of Medicine, Associate Director
of the Mahoney Institute of Neurological Sciences, a Senior Fellow in the
University of Pennsylvania's Institute on Aging, and a clinician in the
Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania's Memory Disorders Clinic. Dr.
Arnold's research focuses on brain pathology in schizophrenia, aging, and
neurodegenerative diseases. |

Hahn, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Director
|
Dr.
Hahn is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hahn received his M.D. at Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea
and his Ph.D. in Neurobiology at the University of Connecticut in Storrs,
where his work focused on activity dependent gene regulation of cell
adhesion molecules. He then completed his residency in Psychiatry and a research fellowship in
Neuropsychopharmacolgy, both at the University of Pennsylvania. Board-certified
in Psychiatry, Dr, Hahn was an Instructor and Assistant Professor at Allegheny
University/ MCP-Hahnemann University before returning to the University
of Pennsylvania as Assistant Professor. Dr. Hahn's laboratory research focuses
on calcium signaling and gene expression in bipolar disorder, while his
clinical research activities include psychopharmacological management of
bipolar disorder as a clinician in the Bipolar Disorders Unit at the University
of Pennsylvania. |

Rioux, Ph.D.
|
Dr.
Rioux is Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Rioux received her Ph.D. in Neurobiology at the University of Laval,
Quebec, Canada where her thesis work was on the pharmacological and behavioral
effects of dopamine neuron transplants in rodent lesion models of Parkinsons
disease. This was followed by post-doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania
in receptor pharmacology and signal transduction pathways in the Departments
of Psychiatry and Pharmacology. Dr. Riouxs main interests are in retinoid
signaling and the molecular neuroanatomical aspects of development and plasticity
in schizophrenia. |

his Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of California Los
Angeles where his thesis work was in chemical neuroanatomy of limbic brain
regions. Subsequently, Dr. Talbot taught anatomy and neurobiology as an
Instructor and Assistant Professor in Psychology and Biopsychology at UCLA,
Mount. St. Marys College in Moraga, CA and St. Olaf College in Northfield,
MN before returning to research as a post-doctoral fellow in Pathology and
