Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
ACLS Initial Provider - 2 Day Course
This training covers comprehensive emergency cardiac care, including manual and AED defibrillation and pacing, management of specific cardiac arrest scenarios, I.V. cardiac drug administration, airway management, use of other ACLS equipment, and current trends in ACLS doctrine. Participants who successfully complete this training will receive an American Heart Association ACLS Completion Card, with a suggested renewal date of two years from date of issuance. Students should become familiar with arrhythmia recognition and ACLS algorithms before taking this course.
Program Duration: 12 hours, 9.25 Nurse Contact Hours Approved
HeartCode ACLS
This program accompanies the AHA HeartCode ACLS self-directed eLearning course, which must be completed prior to attending an in-person competency skills assessment. Participants must learn concepts of emergency cardiac care at their own pace using the AHA HeartCode ACLS materials, then register for an in-person skills competency segment which must be taken within 30 days of the completion of the AHA HeartCode ACLS self-directed eLearning course. During the skills check, students must demonstrate competency in airway management, AED use, and BLS.
ACLS Recertification
This recertification course utilizes small groups learning stations to review current concepts of emergency cardiac care, including essential ACLS skills and concepts. Students must hold a current or recently expired ACLS card( less than 30 days) to be enrolled in the recertification course.
